Friends of Springfield Fire is a local Missouri non-profit organization est. in 2022. We exist to foster an intentional connection with the community that is continually and wholeheartedly responsive to celebrating and supporting the needs of Springfield Firefighters and their families
Much like a traditional meal train brings people together to support those facing difficult circumstances, this meal train is an opportunity for our community to rally around the members of our fire department during this challenging time. Whatever shift, whatever crew, you can take the burden of preparing a meal off the crew – and leave it to us! To ensure all crews are eating safely, we will coordinate a meal with a commercial kitchen and deliver it to the station of your choice!

Recognition and support are vital for our firefighters, who face immense challenges and risks daily to protect our community. Acknowledging their bravery and dedication fosters a sense of belonging and appreciation. This recognition not only motivates them to perform at their best but also plays a crucial role in their mental health and well-being. Additionally, public acknowledgment strengthens community trust and reinforces the essential bond between firefighters and the people they serve (us). In showing them we appreciate them, we ensure that our firefighters remain resilient, committed, and ready to respond whenever they are needed.
